About the Author
Paul G. Huray is Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Carolina where he has taught courses in engineering physics, electromagnetics, signal integrity, the mathematical methods of physics, advanced thermodynamics, and computer communications. Professor Huray introduced the first electromagnetics course to focus on signal integrity, and that program has produced more than eighty practicing signal integrity engineers now employed in academia, industry, and government. He earned his PhD in physics at the University of Tennessee in 1968, conducted research in the Solid State, Chemistry and Physics Divisions at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and has worked part-time for the Intel Corporation in developing the physical basis for barriers to circuits with bit rates up to 100 GHz. He has also worked at the Centre d'Études Nucléaires de Grenoble, at Technische Universität Wien, and at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Likely written for a PHD/Postdoc student rather than for a undergraduate student

The book is highly detailed on most of the math involved with Maxwell's equations. However, this doesn't seem to be a decent book for most undergraduate students to reference. The math is advanced, it requires previous knowledge of the topic, and on a few parts, the author seems to stumble on about how students fail to understand various aspects of this topic that are not really covered in detail in the book. In short, if you are a postdoc/phd student who needs reference material on electromagnetics, this book is for you. If you are a undergraduate student looking for a basic tutorial on electromagnetics, this book is not likely for you.

About the Author
Randy Steffen, who died early in 1977, while these volumes were in production, was born in Maverick County, Texas of part Sioux-Cheyenne Indian descent. He was the author of more than a thousand articles on military and western history. His paintings, drawings, and sculpture have appeared in exhibits and publications in this country, Europe, South Africa, and Australia. In 1976 he was presented the George Washington Award by the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge for his contributions to American history. At the time of his death he was a Governor of the Company of Military Historians. He was the author of United States Military Saddles (1973), also published by the University of Oklahoma Press.

Im a horseman

The book was introduced to me by a next door neighbor. I found that once i picked it up i couldnt set it down. I was amazed at the endless ideas in this wonderful book. As a horseman myself im always looking for ways to make new stuff, and fix old stuff. To my suprise i had most of the stuff on hand, and having a machines shop at my home i spent more time in the shop. My neighbor and myself have built most of the farm yard ideas, and its fun to look around and see the improvments. I recomend this book for anyone who is a do it yourselfer, or just a cowboy at heart. Ive had fun with it and i hope you do too...

This is a collection of Randy Steffen's best horse owner's tips from his 40 years of tips in The Western Horseman magazine.
Each tip is described and illustrated in a very clear and concise way.
The book is organized by sections (trailers, tack room, training, etc). It's very easy to find neat ideas for any area of horsemanship (whether you are a cowboy or dressage enthusiast).

must have book for any one who has stock

I have read this book over a dozen times. It is priceless . If you work on a farm ranch or just have stock such as cows, horses or just raise Lamas this book is a must have. I train exotic animals world wide for a living. This book has come in handy in Africa as well as Thailand . It helps you learn to improvise when making tack or fixing fences or just throwing together some rigging. It covers the basics and advanced knots for making halters,tying horses or just splicing a rope. I have used it for training camels believe it or not. The various diagrams on laying a horse down have all but been forgotten. If you are a down to earth scavenger like myself you will love this book . It will pay for itself over and over.

Simple Exercises

I like this book. It is simple enough. The drawings are good, as is the advice. There is nothing that is new for me in the book. Many of the exercises have been taken from yoga.

It may be good for someone who has never exercised in his life. However, i would have preferred something that was a little more in-depth than a smattering of advice, and exercises

A fantastic fitness guide for the busy executive

I have benefitted tremendously from following the fitness advice given in this book - I started with a paperback and now have the kindle edition which makes it portable wherever I go.
This book has very simple and easy to follow instructions - the stretching exercises have become part of my routine. I am getting into Yoga now.
If you have 20-25 minutes everyday to spend on fitness, this is definitely the go-to book. If you have more time, then there are enough exercise to keep you engaged as well.
I like some of the habits recommended - like drinking water on waking up which cleanses your system - and I am making them part of my daily routine.
Kudos to Abhishek Sharma for this fantastic book !

Great book for Indian youth as well for middle age.

This book is really worth more than the money you pay if you are serious about fitness, this is the only Indian good book I could find about fitness.
Not tried yoga as I would prefer going to yoga classes or better to learn under Yoga Guru for some time & then practice at home with the help of video cd'so.
Before buying this book I was going for brisk walk but now I am able to jog bare foot. I would request Mr.Abhishek Sharma to translate this book into as many Indian languages so that this can benefit our youth.
I would like to thank Abhishek Sharma for enhancing my fitness confidence.

Like a movie in your head!

This is the first Graphic Audio book I've tried. I was wondering how abridged their books are, but it seems that all of the content is there, but because it's performed as theatre, we hear the actors say the lines and we hear sound effects. Therefore, it's not necessary for the narrator (there is a narrator) to read "he said," "she replied," and "the door slammed." Thus, the listener may miss out on the structure of some of the author's prose and dialogue, but won't miss any of the plot. The Recorded Books version is over 24 hours long and the Graphic Audio version is about 18 hours long, but much of that difference is likely due to the speed of the narrator's voice, also.

I tested some areas of Graphic Audio's production against the print book and could detect nothing missing. For example, the passage I quoted in my review above goes like this in Graphic Audio's version:

Narrator: He reached into a pouch at his belt, pulling out the object within: a dead squirrel.
Nightblood: Ooh, Yuck.

Nightblood's voice, by the way, was suitably creepy. A different actor does each voice (they have a large acting staff) and mostly I found the voices appropriate and at least as good as those in the Recorded Books version (though I have to admit that I hadn't considered an Irish Brogue for Siri and Vivenna). There was quite a bit of background music (Celtic in this case, composed by their staff musicians specifically for Warbreaker). The music ramped up the drama while never getting in the way of the voices.

If anything, the theatre atmosphere draws the attention away from any defects in the actual writing style -- it is, as their motto indicates, like "a movie in your mind," so the "reader" is focused on the story and not the mechanics of the writing. This makes it really fun to listen to, but gives a reviewer the difficulty of not being able to adequately critique some aspects of the author's style. (Thus, if I listen to more of their audiobooks, I'll be sure to indicate this in my review.)

If you're picky about writing style and mechanics and feel the need to evaluate those in the literature you read, then it'd be best to stick with the print version or a traditionally narrated audiobook. If you're the type of reader who just wants a fun fantasy story (which, I suspect, is most of you), then you will find these productions to be really entertaining and I confidently recommend Graphic Audio's version of Warbreaker to you.
