About the Author
Suzanna Medeiros was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Her love for the written word led her to pursue a degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Education degree, but graduated at a time when no teaching jobs were available. After working at a number of interesting places, including a federal inquiry, a youth probation office, and the Office of the Fire Marshal of Ontario, she decided to pursue her first love—writing. Suzanna is married to her own hero and is the proud mother of twin daughters. She is an avowed romantic who enjoys spending her days writing love stories. Surprisingly good read

I had read the novella Dancing with the Duke (Landing a Lord) and really enjoyed it, so I decided to take a chance on this new author. I'm really glad I did. No one else seems to have done a summary, so here goes:
Our H inherited the title of Marquess after both his father and older brother die from a mysterious illness, which may be hereditary. He meets the h when he suffers from an attack of the illness and falls near her cottage. The h and her family have fallen on hard times and are struggling to make ends meet. The H is grateful to the h for helping him when he was ill and tells her that if she ever needs help, she should contact him. Shortly afterwards his wicked cousin threatens the h with higher rent on her cottage or suggests she or her young sister become his mistress. The h's father had lost his estate in a game of cards to the H's uncle, the father of the wicked cousin. The h goes to the H for help and he suggests marriage.
The H has decided that once the h marries him, he will get his friend to sleep with her to get an heir as he doesn't wish his cousin to inherit the title. And so this delightful story goes on. The book was totally enthralling and I couldn't put it down.
The reason I took off a star was because of some silly issues in the book. However as this is still a new author and this appears to be her first full length novel. it was a great effort. I'll certainly be buying the next book in the series. She has introduced some really interesting characters.

Totally loved it!

Aww it was soo sweet. Usually I don't like books where there's a secret and the heroines kept in the dark. The secret doesn't get out I hand and there isn't alot of waiting for the other shoe to drop. The heroine knows who her heart belongs to and sticks with him! The friend he suggests father the heir is a decent friend and doesn't let the scheme go far at all. It was really touching and sweet!

Great Read!

A lovely historical romance! Loving the Marquess was a fantastic romance that kept me guessing.
The idea for this book is a little different. I've only scene something similar in one other book. So, I was curious. But, I was also worried that the issue of Nicholas not fathering the heir would be dragged out, which would have made the book a torment. However, it was well handled. Things weren't exactly as they appeared and that changed the game for Nicholas and Louisa.
Louisa was a great heroine. She was strong and determined to protect her family. But, she also knew when she needed to ask for help, which I really appreciated. She wasn't the type to give in easily, especially to a demand as outrageous as Nicholas'. She was definitely a likable character.
Nicholas was equally wonderful. He fears the illness that claimed his father and brother and that has shaped his life. And, despite his crazy plan, he was a good man who was just trying to do what he though was best for everyone, though he got it totally wrong. He was very sweet and easy to adore.
Louisa and Nicholas had an interesting relationship with they way it started off. But, even with that confusion, their feelings for each other deepened. They were so sweet together and, once it happened, very spicy in the bedroom.
The plot was fast paced. There were tons of surprises in store. There were twists and turns that totally took me off guard. And the ending was brilliant.
Romance lovers, Loving the Marquess was a wonderful historical romance that you should definitely give a read.
